Things to know when designing a kitchen

1) 96" ceiling height - I crown height moulding will be used, 30" & 36" wall cabinet heights are recommended.
42" tall wall cabinets can be used if customer does not require crown. In this case, the wall cabinets should be mounted all the way up to the ceiling.

2) Standard widths to allow for appliances
* 30" Free standing oven/range *24" Dishwasher * 36" to 40" Refrigerator (Always get exact height and width from customer).

3) Tall cabinets - Pantry and oven cabinet heights should be determined by the height of the wall cabinets.
30" Wall cabinets Use 84" pantry or oven cabinet 36" Wall cabinets Use 90" pantry or oven cabinet 42" Wall cabinets Use 96" pantry or oven cabinet

4) When designing a kitchen, work outwards from the corners of the room.

5) If customer desires blind base corners rather than lazy suzans, the blind corner cabinet is adjustable in width from 42" to 48". Although the blind corner cabinet is 36" wide, it should not go all the way to the corner and touch the other wall. It should be installed at least 6" off of the wall that it is perpendicular to.

6) Crown and Toe Kick come in 8' lengths. If in doubt, add an extra stick.
